CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 15, 2025 – The Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America today officially announced the start and end locations, as well as the dates, for the 30th Anniversary Ride. For the milestone edition, the 30th Anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America will truly cross the United States, starting in Sonoma, California, on May 1, 2026, and concluding in Concord, North Carolina, on May 9, 2026.
The 30th Anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America will be book-ended by trips to two iconic Speedway Motorsports (SM) racetracks, Sonoma Raceway and Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The announcement was initially made on Monday, July 14, on the Kyle Petty Charity Ride social media accounts, with help from celebrity riders Richard Petty, Max Papis, Kenny Wallace, and Rutledge Wood, all of whom are expected to be part of next year’s Ride. Watch the announcement here.
The start and end points for the 30th Anniversary Ride also replicates the first route taken by Kyle Petty and friends during the initial Ride in 1995. The first Ride kicked off May 8, 1995, following the NASCAR Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway, and wrapped up in Charlotte eight days later.
“For the 30th Anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Ride, we wanted to make it something truly special and ride cross country once again,” said Petty. “To make it even better, we are starting and finishing in the same area we did for the first Ride. We will be reliving 30 years of memories and making even more along the way.
“We have been able to work with Marcus Smith and his team at Speedway Motorsports to lock in our start and end dates at two of their premier facilities – Sonoma Raceway and Charlotte Motor Speedway,” said Petty. “The 30th Anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America will hit some iconic spots along the way, but to start and finish at two of my favorite racetracks will be something special for myself and each of our riders.”
“The Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America has been positively impacting the lives of children and families for three decades,” said Marcus Smith, President & CEO Speedway Motorsports. “We look forward to kicking off the Ride for Kyle in Sonoma and then welcoming everyone home to Charlotte after a cross-country trek of adventures.”
Additional details surrounding the 30th Anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America will be announced in the coming months, including overnight and fuel stops, celebrity riders, and much more.
